Getting The Plough COVID-19 secure in 2020

All members of our team have completed three online Coronavirus training modules for Personal Protection / Cleaning and Hygiene / Customer Service.

All team members will have their temperature taken upon arrival to work and be directed to the sanitisation station upon entry.

All team members will change into uniform upon arrival to work.

On arrival at the pub there is a sanitisation station at the door and other key places throughout for customers and staff.

Upon entry, all customers will be asked to supply their name and contact details for the Government track and trace system.

Signage has been put into place around the building and outside with various directional information.

We will operate a one-way entry and exit system for those eating/drinking in.

Takeaway collection points will be clearly marked with a queue system at 2m social distancing.

Dining numbers inside the pub have been cut by 40%.

Tables must be booked in advance and larger groups must call the venue to ensure they can be catered for. Large group numbers are limited.

There is no service at the inside bar, we will have table service only.

The Plough will work on a limited menu displayed on wipeable sheets.

Cutlery and condiments will be dropped to the table once the customers are seated.

Each table will have a dedicated member of staff serving them.

All tables, seating, menus etc will be fully wiped down after each use.

Upon payment, card payments are preferred, and card machines sanitised after each use.

Toilets will have a lock on the main door limiting entry to one person or small groups of two or three people that are dining together.

All toilets have been fitted with automatic soap dispensers and throw away hand towels.

A sanitisation station will be near the toilet entrance for use before entry.

Toilets, including door handles and locks, will be regularly cleaned at half hour intervals by staff and recorded on a visible check sheet.

All garden benches are laid out two meters apart. Customers are asked not to move these themselves, meaning larger groups for both eating and drinking must book in advance to ensure there is space.

There is an outside bar which customers can go to when adhering to the marked out social distancing signage.

A sanitisation station will be at the outside bar.

Table service will also take place at outside tables.

Setting up and clearing down of all outside tables will follow the same procedure as those inside the pub.
